Energy drinks and health

Energy drinks and health are questionable combination. Question is then whether the energy drinks that are on sale, now is healthy for the few of us who can benefit from them. To answer this question, we must, like when we examined protein products, look at the ingredients.

Composition of energy drinks

So let's look at one of the popular energy drink Red Bull and see what it contains: maltodextrin (prepared by partial hydrolysis of a particular type of maize), fructose, flavors, coloring agents, minerals, and Aspartame.

I'm sorry, but like in protein products, we have here a lot of nasty ingredients. Let's look at them from cover to cover.

Maltodextrin made from corn. If you ask manufacturers about a warranty proof that the maltodextrin, which was used in our energy drinks, now was free of GMOs, they cannot answer this question.

So you can unfortunately be quite sure that all the maltodextrin used in sports nutrition and other foods are genetically modified. It's not good, and no one wants it in their body.

Fructose: Again more unnecessary sugar. It is said otherwise, that fructose would be good to replace the liver's store of carbohydrates.

Fructose is extremely sweet, and this is the reason that it is present in the beverage.

Flavorings: Sadly made of synthetic, dangerous chemicals. If you are still not completely convinced about the dangers of these chemicals, so let's just look at the strawberry flavor again:

Amyl acetate, amylbutyrat, atylvalerat, anethole, anisylformat, benzyl acetate, benzylisobutyrat, butyric acid, cinnamylisobutyrat, cinnamylvalerat, brandy essence, diacetyl, dipropyl, ethyl acetate, ethylamylketone, ethyl butyrate, ethyl cinnamate, ethyl heptanoate, ethylheptylat, ethyl lactate, ethyl methylphenylglycidate, ethyl nitrate, ethyl propionate, ethylvalerat , heliotropine, hydroxyphenyl-2-butaone, alpha-ionone, isobutylanthranilate, lemon essence, maltol, 4-methylacetophenone, methyl anthranilate, methyl benzoate, methyl cinnamate, methylheptincarbonat, methylnaphthylketon, methyl salicylate, peppermint essence, nerolin, nerylisobutyrat, orris butter, phenethyl alcohol, rose, rum essence, gamma-undecalactone, vanillin, and solvent. Yes, over 50 different chemicals. Do you really put your body for it?

Dyes are chemicals. You understand the gravity.

Minerals: Sodium says on the label, but what your body needs is right salt with all 80 trace minerals intact. Not sodium chloride, which is a cheap and nasty substance that is added to get us to believe that the product helps us prevent dehydration. It may well be that it helps, but it's not healthy, and sea salt is not only healthier for you, but also more effective.

Aspartame: Simply the most controversial food ingredient ever. Were you aware that Aspartame is associated with many diseases such as cancer, etc.? In the future, I think people are starting to wake up and realize how dangerous they are. Some energy drink manufacturers use instead sucralose, but time will show that this drug is just as dangerous as Aspartame.

Now that energy drinks already contain over 99% sugar, why on earth should the product as sweetened further?

Another thing that people are not aware of is that studies show that acid content in these drinks ruin your teeth. Energy drinks, colas and some other 'sweet' soft drinks contain much acid which etches the tooth enamel. Even higher sugar content hides the sour taste! Energy drinks, colas and some other 'sweet' soft drinks contain much acid which etches the tooth enamel. Even higher sugar content hides the sour taste! The enamel damaged. The teeth break and fall out at some point.

If you drink energy drinks and health can be lost, and get fat.
