Lasagna is a typical Mediterranean diet


Ingredients (for 4 people):

Cooking time 20 to 25 min

1 lb. (253 g) fresh lasagna

Meat sauce:

2 tablespoons (29 g) butter / margarine

1 large chopped yellow onions

1 lb. 2 oz. (510 g) ground beef

1 tsp. coarse salt

Freshly ground pepper

1 tsp. dried basil or thyme

½ tsp. oregano

5 oz. (140 g) concentrated tomato paste

1 ½ cups broth (cube water)

Bechamel Sauce:

2 tablespoons (29 g) butter / margarine

3 ½ tablespoons wheat flour

17 fl oz. (½ liter) boiling milk

7 tablespoons (1 dl.) whipping cream


White pepper

½ teaspoon grated nutmeg

5 - 7 oz. (150 to 200 g) grated mild cheese


Thin layer of breadcrumbs

3,5 tablespoons (50 g) butter


Tomato Salad:

4 to 5 sliced ??tomatoes oil / vinegar marinade

Dried tarragon

Touched garlic butter

Warm loaf:

1 cup (250 g) butter

2 to 5 cloves garlic

Lemon juice from fresh lemon

Fine salt

white pepper

Meat sauce:

Fry the chopped onions browned in butter / margarine add the minced meat and fry it then add seasoning broth and tomato paste and let the little warms in approx. 10 minutes.

Bechamel Sauce:

Melt the butter / margarine in a pan, add flour and then add the boiling milk little by little. Add spices, grated cheese and cream. Season with salt and white pepper and cook thoroughly.

Put butter in ovenproof dish with smoke / margarine. Add lasagna meat sauce and béchamel sauce layered in the dish. The top layer should be béchamel sauce. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and spread butter flakes here and there.

Baking time:

Approximately 35 to 40 minutes. at 200 degrees on the rack in middle of oven until golden and hot.

Mix the butter, garlic, salt, pepper and sprinkle with lemon juice. Spread mixture loaf and put in heat oven for at least 8 to 10 minutes.
